Panagiotis stooped to a new low, and as a result, so did I. He peed on the laundry that was out on the line. I had to abandon my ironing and put everything back in the washer. That’s when I inadvertently dropped a rather large plastic object, setting off a chain reaction involving a cat that is actually mine -- as much as a cat can ever be yours. He flew across the kitchen and counters, crashed into all the dishes, and, in a scramble of feet that would otherwise be funny, sent a full glass of orange juice into a plunge and a shatter on a hard marble floor. The result was one sharp, sticky mess, one seriously freaked out cat, one very pissed off potential orange juice drinker, and one poor girl who got blamed for it all and had no help cleaning it up.
That’s what happened to me, while you were in Prague.
(Love that terminal, though.)
And everybody loves a castle (and a river). Great pics, you.
These really are great photos. I especially like the one with the lights on the river. It must be so amazing to live in Europe a couple of hours flight away from such places as prague. For Australians to travel to Europe its such a hassle (prob about 21-24 hours flight and then changes through numerous airports) so we tend to go for a long time rather than a week or so, otherwise you'd spend the whole holiday getting over the flight. Anyway, nice photos.
Sissoula, I can sympathise re: the washing. Just yesterday I took my sheets off the line to find they were covered in bird poo (apparently birds and washing hang out in the same places).
Was the cat on a washing peeing mission do you think, or was it a random act of weedom?
Not all parts of Europe are equally friendly toward international travel, but you're right, traveling from Australia to Europe is quite an undertaking, as is going from here to there... but brave people do it all the time. (I don't travel well, so I doubt I will be one of them.)
As for the laundry (sorry about yours!), apparently there is an unresolved territorial dispute between my cat and the stray that frequents the balcony; the latter, of course, is the more insistent. I'm shocked that he would pee on the laundry, but then again, I woke up yesterday to find a puddle of vomit for which I know my cat is not responsible. I should take it as a compliment that he feels so at home, that I and my laundry are worth staking out... although I wish he'd find some other means of expressing it.
