Introduction

It starts with a credible protagonist; some conflict arises around the second paragraph; the dialogue sounds somehow foreign, but convincing. A good intro hooks the reader, not with forced tensions or attention-grabbing gimmicks, but some honest insight into experiences similar, and yet superior, to his own.

Steph, was your post (called "introduction") meant to be an introduction?

Steph, don't knock yourself out. It was nothing worth a struggle; it was just my (silly, failed?) attempt to apply some literary analysis to your little onion's unfolding story. You're (half of) the author, he's the hero, and I am your captivated reader. If this was the intro, I can’t wait for Chapter 1.

OK, gotcha!

Btw my "little onion" has so far been called the following names (all by me, of course):

- Τέρας
- Κτήνος
- Χοντροπατάτας
- Παλιομπιφτέκης
- Χοντρομπιζέλης
- Αρακάς
- Φέρυ-Μπώτ (If you see him in his little bath-tub you'll understand)
- etc...
